I just got back from my second trip to Austin, Texas this fall. I lived there for a couple of years while going to the University of Texas for library school — or as they call it, “information studies.”. East Austin is THE place for up-and-coming Texas artists, and the Canopy creative community is one of its standouts. A visit emphasizes the connectedness between art, culture, and the public. Explore a working artist’s studio, browse public galleries and shops, or grab a hand-crafted coffee all in one place.
